The good museum tours in Croatia sell their time slots weeks ahead. Below: the 5 to book early, what each includes and how they differ.

Spend a few hours or a full day at Zagreb’s Nikola Tesla Technical Museum. See Tesla’s inventions, watch high-voltage demonstrations, walk through an underground mine, and explore engines, aircraft, vehicles, farming, energy, and space displays. Free guided sessions run at set times.
“The museum was very interesting, especially the sections dedicated to Nikola Tesla and the technical innovations of the past century. I really enjoyed the variety of exhibits, from old vehicles and planes to the demonstrations that explain scientific principles in a fun and educational way. What could be improved is the overall organization and maintenance of the exhibits – some areas looked a bit outdated and could benefit from clearer explanations in English for international visitors. It would also be nice to have more interactive displays related specifically to Tesla’s inventions. Overall, it’s a fascinating place to learn and spend a few hours, especially if you are interested in scien...”
Walk through Split with a private licensed guide, often Josko or Joško, tracing Diocletian’s Palace from the Peristyle to its preserved cellars. You’ll also see the Old Town, Riva, medieval squares, the Golden Gate, Cathedral of Saint Domnius, and Temple of Jupiter.

Start at Stella Croatica for a guided olive museum tour, Mediterranean gardens, traditional tastings, and natural cosmetics. Then use your ticket at Klis Fortress, a Game of Thrones filming site with sweeping views over Split. You need your own transport between the two sites.
“Some fantastic views. A real feel for history and the strategic value of the fortress. Well worth a trip outside the city to see this. Just a shame they have not yet been able to restore the final parts of the fortress, but still plenty to see and experience.”
