“If you are in Krakow you absolutely must visit Auschwitz. We were advised to not do the double tour (Auschwitz and the saltmines) and I am really grateful as both were long days, and I can’t imagine doing them all in one. We were collected at 10am and taken to Auschwitz 1... we spent approximately 3.5hrs there although this included a break.. our tour guide was amazing, compassionate and informative... We were then taken to Birkenau by our transport but kept the same guide. We spent a further 2 hours there. Journey was 90 minutes each way. It’s difficult to describe the feelings you will get... “Would hugely recommend these amazing tour guides. Driver lovely. In touch with us all the time. Made us a huge lunch for little money. Tour guide at Auswitch was fantastic. Knowledgeable and humble. So respectful to the victims and eager to urge us all to learn and never repeat. This is a MUST in anybody’s visit to krakow. So very sad but so humbling.”
